In the ecosystem of climate actions the First Parish Church in Harvard Square Cambridge MA recognizes that this is the eleventh hour for climate action. Therefore on the eleventh of each month at 6:11 pm we gather on the church steps on Mass Ave across from Harvard U yard with signs calling for climate justice requires racial justice and increase funding for the MA Clean Energy Collaborative with more paid internships. To sound the alarm, the church bell is rung for eleven minutes. The Boston Area Brigade of Activist Muscians play familiar songs with appropriate lyrics such as a “when the Earth Comes Marching In.” We're old folks, averaging 6 or 8 an evening. We wave at passerbyes who give thumbs up. Some stop for the music. The MBTA bus honks in support. Foreigners thank us for inspiration, addressing why they came to Harvard where their homelands “don't get it.” Reminding politicians of constituents concerns can only help. Participant standing together in all kinds of weather are satisfied with the work and stay the long course speaking to decision makers working bills through the system.
